This page features language-related programs and information. I plan to add other items in the near future.
- SoundEx is a coding system which was invented in the late 1800s to assist with the US Census. If you know what a name sounds like but are unsure of the spelling, SoundEx can help you to retrieve the name from a database of names. (This link is inactive at this time because the page is currently under construction to add improvements. -DH Sept 2012)
- Syllabifier: Divides names and other English words into syllables according to the rules established for English-language words.
- English Numbers: Translates mathematical expressions into English. Or try Novial!
